Roli Dwivedi Receives Prestigious Award for Advancing Health Equity

Roli Dwivedi, MD, has been selected for the 2025 Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) Bernard J. Tyson Health Equity Award. She was recognized for her extraordinary leadership, unwavering commitment to health equity, and ability to blend culturally competent care, education and community partnerships to advance health equity in action.

 

"I am so honored and humbled to be selected for the 2025 Alliance of Community Health Plans Bernard J. Tyson Health Equity Award. Receiving this award is not just a personal honor, but a recognition of the collective effort in advancing health equity," said Dwivedi, who serves as chief executive officer and chief medical officer at the Community-University Health Care Center. "Getting this recognition is huge and also is a grounding reminder that accessible and fair health care for all is a shared responsibility. This recognition fuels my commitment to continue breaking barriers, challenging disparities, and creating a healthier future for everyone."

In recognition of Bernard J. Tyson’s stalwart commitment to reducing disparities and addressing social and structural drivers of health, this annual award recognizes those who promote health equity in their community, fostering physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

"Dr. Dwivedi's exemplary leadership, initiatives and community engagement exemplify the spirit of Bernard J. Tyson's mission to foster affordable, equitable health care for all," said Ceci Connolly, ACHP's president and CEO.

Dwivedi will receive the award during the ACHP Annual Symposium on Oct. 8 in Washington, D.C.
