I chose my specialty because I value the opportunity to care for patients throughout their lifespan, meeting them where they are and supporting them through their unique care journeys. It allows me to build long-term relationships, understanding their health needs at different stages of life. I enjoy the continuity of care and the ability to support individuals and families through everyday health concerns as well as more complex challenges.

Before becoming a physician, I worked as a mental health case manager at CUHCC, which equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities in a patient's care journey and the challenges of navigating healthcare systems. I also bring experience in quality and process improvement, having served on councils that focus on best practices in primary care and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Awards: Mary A. McEvoy Award for Public Engagement and Leadership 2012 (UMN).

My professional interests focus on providing complex care for both adult and pediatric patients, particularly in chronic disease management and addressing the health needs of immigrant and refugee populations. I am passionate about improving patient quality, safety, and overall care experience while actively working to address health disparities and promote health equity.
