I chose marriage & family therapy because of the field's systemic perspective which considers the importance of the interplay of a variety of factors in one's life. I really enjoy working with people and helping them heal so they can enjoy a better quality of life.

I have worked as a therapist for 20+ years serving client in South Minneapolis and surrounding areas. I have worked in management developing & managing programs and have worked providing direct client care. I reached ABD (all but dissertation) status towards a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology in addition to my Master's degree. 

I enjoy helping client heal from trauma using a variety of modalities such as narrative therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic-based interventions. I believe that we all have the innate ability to heal ourselves but sometimes need a little guidance to learn how to tap into these abilities and remember our strengths within. I am interested in holistic/integrative practices.
