In 2020 CUHCC welcomed SoLaHmo, a Community Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR)
program that works with health professionals and academicians on health-related studies.
SoLaHmo's research methods include interpreting research findings so that the research and its outcomes are relevant, respectful, and responsive to the interests and needs of SoLaHmo communities.
SoLaHmo is made up of Somali, Latin American,Hmong, Karen, Vietnamese, Nepali, Oromo, Ethiopian, Native American, Black/African American and LGBTQ/Two Spirit community members and health care professionals working in partnerships with academic researchers.
